Louisville real estate turning toward environmentally-friendly homes

According to The Multiple Listing Service, Louisville now features eight “green” certifications which sellers may list to prove their home is environmentally friendly, or “green”.

These certifications include National Green Building Standard, ENERGY STAR Home Certification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED,) and Home Energy Rating System. Construction features such as solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, tankless water heaters, and spray foam insulation are also included.
