Warren Buffett Says It's Time to Buy

Warren Buffett Says It's Time to Buy Single Family Houses.

Warren Buffett said in an interview on CNBC this week that, along with stocks, single family houses are a great investment right now.   He said he 'Would buy a couple of hundred thousand houses right now' if it was practical to do so.  This is a good sign for the Louisville housing market.

If held for a long period of time and purchased at low rates, Buffett says houses are even better than stocks.  He advises buyers to take out a 30-year mortgage and refinance if rates go down.

I'm seeing lots of activity at the local level.  MLSKY.net is getting over 300 visitors daily for the last few weeks. I'm also showing lots of houses and have written several contracts over the last week.

The latest statistics released by the Lousiville Board of Realtors for last weeks data are below.  The trend continues with new listings being 20% less than what came on the market the previous week last year and the Solds were up 5.2% over the same week a year ago.

This means less inventory to choose from so if you see a good house you might want to jump on it.   The good ones don't last long right now.   You can set up a new listing alert on this site by Saving your search.
